Measures platelet function.
Used to diagnose primary hemostasis disorders.
Prolonged bleeding time is associated with prior ingestion of anti-platelet medications (e.g. aspirin, clopidogrel), vonWillebrand disease, congenital and acquired disorder of platelet function.
