₱791.00

CLINICAL USE

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is the cause of most bloodborne as well as community-acquired non-A, non-B hepatitis. Presence of antibodies against HCV indicates that an individual may have been infected, may harbor infectious HCV, and/or may capable of transmitting HCV infection. HCV infection may develop into chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and increased risk of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Used to detect antibodies to HCV in human serum. Intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Hepatitis C infection and as a screening test to prevent transmission of HCV to recipients of blood and blood components.
